Civil Society and Municipalities Together for a Better Life

The European Partnership with Municipalities Programme - PROGRES held the final presentation of the public call for proposals for the funding of projects that are the result of partnership between civil society organisations and local governments. The European Union and Government of Switzerland will set aside EUR 400,000 of support to the winning projects..Eligible civil society organisations and local governments are those based in 25 municipalities of South and South West Serbia included in PROGRES.
Support to Infrastructure and Civil Society Projects

Today, the first meeting of the Steering Committee of “European Partnership with Municipalities Programme - PROGRES” was held in Novi Pazar. More than 20 attending mayors, representatives of the Government of Serbia European Integration Office, line ministries, donors – the European Union and the Government of Switzerland, representatives of development agencies, civil society and United Nations office for Project Services – UNOPS, implementing PROGRES, discussed and unanimously approved the Operating Report for the first three months of the Programme.
Europe Supports Development of South and South-West Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Božidar Đelić, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Ambassador Vincent Degert, and the Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Serbia, Beatrice Meyer, signed the agreement which secured EUR 17.5 million support from the European Union, the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Serbia, to the South and South West Serbia.
