EU PROGRES

The European Union and the Government of Switzerland, through the European Partnership with Municipalities – EU PROGRES, are supporting seven projects in Prijepolje, Ivanjica, Žitorađa, Sjenica, Priboj, Nova Varoš and Raška, worth 2.4 million dinars, which will improve women’s health, contribute to economic empowerment, and fight gender based violence. The projects will be implemented until November 2013.

Twenty-five representatives of ministries, state institutions, public companies, cities and municipalities attended the fourth and last workshop entitled “Vertical Dimension of Good Governance: the Relationship between Local Self-Government Units and State Administration Authorities” held in Aranđelovac on 5-7 June 2013. This working event was organised by the European Partnership with Municipalities Programme EU PROGRES, with the financial support of the European Union and Swiss Government.

Municipality representatives from Jablanički and Pčinjski Districts, the Ministries for Construction and Urbanism, Regional Development and Local Self-Government, Finance and Economy, as well as the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) participated together in the workshop titled “Vertical Dimension of Good Governance – Relation between Local Self-Government Units and Central Government Bodies” organised 27 February – 1 March on Mountain Zlatibor. This was the last of three planned workshops related to vertical dimension of good governance organised by EU PROGRES with support from the European Union and the Government of Switzerland.

26 representatives from 8 municipalities from Toplički and  Jablanički Districts, participated in a three-day workshop titled Vertical Dimension of Good Governance – Relation between Local Self-Government Units and Central Government Bodies. This is the second of three planned workshops on vertical dimension of good governance organised by EU PROGRES with support from the European Union and Swiss Government.
